Description

very early Breitling - g. Leon Breitling Montbrillant pocket chronograph 1925

Breitling-Montbrillant inhouse manufactory caliber 18 ''', full working, time start, stop, reset to "0".

In 1892, Leon Breitling decided to move his company to his native town of La-Chaux-de-Fonds, where he founded the g.Leon Breitling Montbrillant watch manufactory, in the ruelle de Montbrillant .

Here is the first chronograph produced under this company umbrella with an 18 ligne Montbrillant caliber developed by Gaston Breitling himself, and one of the very few that is clearly signed on the movement with the Swiss patent number "105532" by Gaston Breitling.

In 1923, Gaston Breitling filed patent No. 105532, which referred to an independent pusher that controlled the start and stop of the central seconds hand, with the reset being performed by pulling the crown. This replaced the second push-piece, as it was now possible to resume timekeeping without it.

The movement works perfectly until today and has been revised by our master watchmaker.
