Square, Modern, Striking
In 2024, Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Patek Philippe presented a completely new watch line for the first time in 25 years: the Cubitus collection. The watches have a striking, square case with an integrated, three-link bracelet and clear geometry. The Cubitus draws on elements of Art Deco, but translates them into a modern aesthetic with clear lines and balanced proportions.
The case of the Cubitus measures – depending on the model – 45 x 45 mm or 40 x 40 mm and is equipped with an octagonal bezel. Patek Philippe uses a vertical satin finish for the bezel and gives its edges a fine polish. The other elements of the case are satin-finished. The water resistance of all Cubitus models is 30 m (3 bar, 98 ft).
All dials have a sunburst finish and a horizontally embossed relief. The overall texture of the dial is reminiscent of that of the ever-popular Nautilus model. Applied baton indices in white gold coated with luminescent Super-LumiNova serve as hour markers.
As is customary with Patek Philippe, an in-house caliber of the highest quality powers the Cubitus. The Patek Philippe Seal is obligatory for all of the manufacturer's watches, including the Cubitus. It guarantees the highest quality for the entire watch and a high rate accuracy, deviating by a maximum of -1/+2 seconds per day. The caliber of the Cubitus is visible through a sapphire crystal case back.

While the stainless steel model and the two-tone watch have a case size of 45 x 45 mm, the case of the Cubitus in white and rose gold is only 40 x 40 mm. The automatic, in-house caliber 26-330 S C, which also powered the final models of the famous Nautilus, sets the pace in these watches. The movement provides the Cubitus with a central display for hours, minutes, and seconds, as well as a date at 3 o'clock. Other features of the 26-330 S C include a central rotor made of gold, a Gyromax balance wheel, and a Spiromax hairspring. The movement has a maximum power reserve of 45 hours when fully wound.

Elements made from 18K rose gold can be found on the bezel, crown guard, and middle links of the bracelet.
The case and bracelet of the 40-mm model with the reference number 7128/1G-001 are made of white gold. This watch has a blue dial, while the Cubitus in rose gold (ref. 7128/1R) has a brown dial.
Cubitus With a Large Date and Moon Phase
For fans of complicated luxury watches, Patek Philippe offers the platinum Cubitus ref. 5822P-001. The watch houses the automatic caliber 240 PS CI J LU. This movement has a large date below the 12 o'clock position, a day of the week and moon phase display between 6 and 8 o'clock, as well as a small seconds display between 4 and 5 o'clock. The caliber 240 PS CI J LU is wound using a decentralized micro-rotor made of 18K gold. Both the main dial and subdials of the Cubitus 5822P-001 are blue. A coordinating blue band made of composite material with a textile motif completes the look.
