Description:

The atmos "Jubilé" is a very special piece of Jaeger LeCoultre watch history: This atmos was created in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of the first atmos pendulum watch by Jean-Léon Reutter (1928) in 1978. Called "JUBILÉ", this model was built in a limited edition and offered and sold in a series numbered 1500 pieces.

For this purpose, the Reutter model offered as K2 in 1931 was given a new lease of life. The movement with the designation "Caliber 550" was specially created. It was given the appearance of the old caliber of the Reutter Atmos i, but the original mercury engine was replaced by the modern pressure can. Thus, on the Jubilé, the counterweights of the two hands are built into the movement. The "Jubilé" is a rare piece of Jaeger LeCoultre watch history.

It has a brass case and is fitted with beautiful, finely faceted glass on all sides - and likewise the cover glass. The door glass is also flawlessly faceted. The movement plate is engraved with "Jaeger LeCoultre", "atmos", "550" and "Fifteen (15) Jewels". The case is matted and is in excellent original condition.

I have completely disassembled and cleaned this rare beautiful watch, completely overhauled the movement and checked the pressure box, it is in excellent condition.
The JUBILÉ now runs enduringly - like new with 540 degrees of pendulum rotation and accurately.

The watch includes:
_the original red case with retaining screws
_JLC manual
_2 warranty booklets
_and additionally a jlc book "Living from the air" by Jean Lebet
Dimensions: HxWxD: ca 24x17x16cm

Levelling of the housing:

This case, modeled after the first Reutter clocks, is leveled by "turning" all four brass feet. For this purpose, it has a small spirit level in the base plate, which works excellently.

The watch is of course completely in original condition. The copy number 1261 (of 1500 built copies) of this limited series is stamped in the case on a small plate.

The watch is finely and accurately adjusted by an adjustment lever above the dial, easily accessible when the front door is opened.

I have lovingly refurbished the watch:
_the case and sides, cleaned
_the movement carefully cleaned, adjusted and reassembled and
_polished the faceted glass.
_the watch completely retimed,
_the pressure box checked, it works Ia

It runs with 540 degrees of swing - like new - and exactly

Also, I will put with it a description that will help you to safely put this atmos Jubilé by jlc watch back "in service" and how to treat it after the trip.
